Koko Strainer
Saturday, July 7, 2018 –  9AM meet time, 10AM launch –  RIVER RANGERS™ is removing some known hazards, including two dangerous strainers, on the Kokosing River between Millwood Bridge Access and Zuck Riparian Preserve. We are looking for up to ten (10) volunteers to assist with this project. The event will be capped at ten for safety reasons.
Volunteers will get a guided tour of the Kokosing River from the the RIVER RANGERS™. Volunteers will need to be able to help remove debris from the hazard areas.
Due to liability, no volunteers will be able to use saws or other equipment belonging to the RIVER RANGERS™. Volunteers are discouraged from bringing their own equipment as the River Rangers will have everything needed to complete the project.
All volunteers will need to sign a liability release waiver. Minors will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We will meet at Millwood Bridge Access Point, 11640 Bridge St, Howard, OH 43028-9765, at 9am to begin shuttling people back from Zuck Riparian Preserve. We will launch from Millwood Bridge at 10am. Participants will need to bring plenty of water, and pack a lunch/snacks. All participants will need to bring their own gear including PFD’s. Volunteers are encouraged to read the following post for more information on what to bring or leave at home.
